This surreal life-size contemporary sculpture, was started by sketching out the idea. Once happy, I scaled up the drawings and built a steel and aluminium armature to build onto. Water based clay was then applied, and several weeks spent honing the shape and details until I was happy enough.

Once ready, it was moulded with silicone rubber and fibreglass, before a cast was made from fibreglass, steel, and aluminium reinforcement.

Once prepped, a marble finished paint was applied that shifts colours as it’s rotated in the light, which goes through bronzes, reds, gold and green.

This was finished with a sealer coating of clear lacquer.

It stands 107cm tall
