"Insecure little ogre"

This little Ogre fantasy sculpture was essentially designed by the client who commissioned me to make it for him.

He'd sculpted the face, and knew what he wanted for the rest of him, but preferred to let someone else do the fabrication work. i.e. moi. After a couple of quick sketches to make sure I was on the same wavelength, I took a wax casting of it's face, made a metal skeleton, attached the face and bulked up the rest of him in plastiline clay. A couple of updates along the way, and all were happy. He wanted to keep the style simple, in a Hensonesque sort of way.
With the sculpture complete, it was moulded in fibreglass and the clay cleaned out.

He wanted the thing poseable [like an action-man-goblin type thing], so it was sculpted in plastiline and moulded. I then made a fibreglass and metal poseable skeleton to go inside of him, and cast silicone rubber around it. This was then finished in a semi-realistic paint job.
